Every year, Giving Tuesday is celebrated on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past ten years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give each year.
Last year was a year full of record-breakers. In 2021, according to a report by GivingTuesday, 2.7 billion dollars were donated in a single day on Giving Tuesday. Over 80 countries had giving campaigns, and there were over 260 different campaigns in the United States alone.
