My Well supports the most common ways churches receive generosity today, all designed to feel simple for givers. Your church can enable the options that fit your community and grow from there.

- Mobile giving (app and mobile web)

- Tap-to-give
- QR code giving

- Stock and crypto giving (non-cash gifts)
Yes. My Well supports mobile giving designed to be fast, familiar, and easy to trust.
Mobile giving is one of the best ways to reduce friction and keep recurring giving simple.
Text-to-give lets a giver text your church shortname to receive a secure link to your giving page.
It is built for quick, timely moments when someone wants to give right away.
Yes. My Well supports Tap-to-Give, giving churches another way to receive in-person Gifts through a fast, familiar payment experience. It can be a helpful option for events, lobby giving, special campaigns, or ministry moments where someone wants to give on the spot.
If your church is not currently using NFC tap-to-give, My Well has a handful of partners we can recommend. If you already have a provider in place, we can also help you understand if My Well can integrate with your current setup.
If you have more questions you can reach out to our team and we would be happy to help guide you toward the best approach for adding this payment feature to your giving experience.
QR codes can link directly to your giving page so givers can scan from a screen or print piece and give in seconds.
They are great for lobby signage, slides, mailers, and event giving.
Yes. Digital wallets make giving fast and secure, especially on mobile.
Apple Pay gifts cost the same as a regular card gift, with no additional administrative fees.
Yes, Apple Pay can be used inside the My Well giving app experience.
If your church needs guidance on setup or approval, someone from our Second Mile team can walk you through it.
Non-cash gifts are gifts that are not credit card, ACH, or cash. The most common non-cash gifts we support are stock and cryptocurrency.
These gifts are often larger, and they open new channels of generosity for givers who hold assets.
My Well partners with Engiven to make stock and crypto giving simple for churches and givers. The giving experience starts inside My Well, while Engiven handles the specialized non-cash processing behind the scenes, including receiving the asset, converting it to USD, sending the funds to the ministry, and managing the related donor tax forms.
Through this partnership, churches can accept supported cryptocurrency assets, publicly traded stocks, mutual funds, and ETFs without having to manage securities, hold crypto, or build a complex process on their own. It is a trusted way to open new channels of generosity while keeping the experience connected to My Well reporting and support.
Stock and crypto giving starts inside My Well. A giver selects the non-cash Gift option, then follows simple instructions to transfer stock through their broker or crypto from their digital wallet.
From there, My Well’s partnership with Engiven helps handle the specialized processing, including receiving the asset, converting it to USD, and sending the proceeds to your church, so your team can offer more ways to give without managing securities or crypto custody.
Through My Well’s strategic partnership with Engiven, stock and crypto Gifts include a flat 4% fee which we pass-through. Some stock transfers may also include a separate brokerage fee, which can vary based on the giver’s individual brokerage account.
For many givers, donating appreciated stock or crypto can be a meaningful way to give generously while also receiving potential tax benefits. In some cases, giving appreciated assets may help reduce capital gains exposure compared to selling the asset first and then giving cash.
For tax questions, givers should speak with a tax professional. In general, the giver determines deductible value based on IRS guidelines, and that amount may differ from what the church ultimately receives due to timing, market movement, and applicable fees.
Apple Pay Setup
Apple Pay setup requires a few steps. Here is what to expect.
If your church wants to offer Apple Pay, you may need to register and claim your organization in Benevity first. Once your Benevity steps are complete, send your Benevity ID to My Well so we can finish enabling Apple Pay.
If you have questions or do not know where to start, do not worry. Our Second Mile team can walk you through the steps and help you through the process.
- Register your organization in Benevity and complete the required steps
- Once the initial steps are marked complete, your registration is ready to move forward
- Send your Benevity ID to secondmile@mywell.org
After Benevity registration, Apple will send an approval email confirming your organization can accept Apple Pay gifts. This step can take time, but don't worry. Whether Apple Pay is part of your initial migration or something you want to add later, the My Well team can help confirm your status, collect what is needed, and guide the setup through completion.
- When you receive Apple's approval email, forward it to secondmile@mywell.org and include your Benevity ID
- Apple Pay transactions cost the same as a normal card gift, with no additional administrative fees
- Apple Pay is currently supported in the My Well giving app experience
Benevity requires a yearly self-certification to keep Apple Pay eligibility current. Plan a quick annual reminder so it does not get missed during a busy season.
- Sign in to Benevity, go to your dashboard, and complete self-certification
- If you get stuck or unsure what to do, reach out to secondmile@mywell.org and we will guide you to complete the necessary steps.
